Find the right lenght
Many hikers tend to use too short poles which means you will not get the full benefit of them. There are two ways to find your lenght:
- Method 1: The angle of your elbow joint should be about 90 degrees when you hold the walking stick in your hand
- Method 2: Multiply your height in cm by 0.68 – now you have the height in cm you should set the bars in.
Remember extra rubber tips!
The rubber tips on the trekking poles get worn over time. We always bring extra extra rubber tips for long hikes and pilgrimages.

How to assemble your trekking poles
The trekking poles are folded when they come to you. Grasp each side of the bracket between the handle and the Camino Life and drag until the pole clicks and you can see the small dot:
When you have to fold them again, it’s the little dot you have to press.
